BODY SCIENCE GOLD COAST TRIATHLON 2005

PARKING

All Parking on Sunday 20th March will be in David Jones car park Promenade Area, off Collyer Quays. Please note Collyer Quays will close at 6.00am and will not reopen until 9.30am. If you wish to leave before 9.30 am please use the Robina Town Centre Drive exit.

REGISTRATION

Registration will be in the David Jones car park near the bike exit and entry of the transition area. Registration & Transition will open at 5.00am on Sunday 20th March.
Note registration Friday 18th March, at THE RUN INN, 339 Wardell St, Enoggera. Ph 3354 3425 10.00am – 2.00pm.
Saturday 19th March at
Gold Coast Triathlon, 1 – 40 PacificAv, Miami. Ph 5572 0775 10.00am – 3.00 pm

At registration you will collect a GOODIES bag, wizard timing band, bike sticker and a race Singlet if you have ordered one. Please then go to the numbering area and show your bike sticker and be numbered, proceed then to transition area.

Transition

Transition will be open 5.00am – 6.30am. All bike racks will be numbered.
Race Briefing will be 6.30 am sharp. First wave will be at 6.45 am - open women.

SWIM

Swim, 1.5km will be swum in the lake that is positioned behind Robina Town Centre off Collyer Quays. This will be an L shape with several turns. Entrance and exit from the lake are from two pontoons positioned as close as possible to the Transition Area. Swim to Transition is approximately 200 meters.

CYCLE

40km = 3 laps
Start Collyer Quays, left into Laver Drive, which becomes Robina Park Way going up the hill, then continue to Boowaggan Rd, u/turn and proceed back along Robina Park Way where there is steep down hill into a round a bout which requires you to (CAUTION) slow down dramatically (CAUTION). Please check maps and possibly have a look before hand. (Round a bout at Laver and Robina Park Way).

RUN

2 laps = 10km
Run will use walking paths and footpaths around Robina, each lap has two hills and a long down hill. Lap 1 will take you pass the Transition area, Lap 2 will finish just after David Jones in Robina Town Centre.

Toilets

Ample toilets are available in Robina Town Centre please follow signs.

MEDICAL

Sports Medical Australia will provide medical back up.
They will be in the recovery area and also out on the bike and run course.

On entry to transition after the swim leg.

5km on run leg

BODY SCIENCE EcoAde will be available on exit from swim, on exit to run leg, at 5km into run, and at the recovery area.

RECOVERY AREA.

Body Science EcoAde, water, and fruit.

Massage.
Massages will be available from Greg Beerling of N.R.Chi Bodywork at a small charge just outside recovery.

PRESENTION

Presentations will be 30 mins after the last competitor finishes.
There are plenty of Random Draws to be won so stay on and enjoy the fun and support the Robina Town Centre.
