What is the Body Science Gold Coast Triathlon?.

The BSc Body Science Gold Coast Age Group Selection Triathlon will cover the classic (Olympic) distance of a 1500 metre swim, 40 km cycle and a 10km run. The Triathlon will start and finish at Robina Town Centre on Sunday 20th March 2005. Triathlon is a growing sport, giving the novice, accomplished and elite athlete the opportunity to test their limit of fitness and have fun in a family environment.

The Course...

Robina Town Centre, 75 minutes South of Brisbane, 15 minutes from Surfers Paradise, provides the perfect setting and atmosphere for a relaxed, friendly triathlon on a course that is fast, safe and scenic. The course has a low degree of technical difficulty, allowing competitors to clock fast times. The swim is in the calm and clean manmade lake behind the main car park. The cycle course is a fast and scenic three lap's with a hill on each lap to challenge competitors. The run course provides plenty of shade and spectator viewing points. This Age Group Selection Triathlon is expected to attract 2000 participants and spectators.
